ABOUT ME
Born in Pontiac, Michigan and raised in Southern California, I've lived and worked in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1994.

I spent six years in the US Navy working as a nuclear power plant operator onboard an aircraft carrier. In 1998 I changed careers and became a filmmaker. I have a BFA from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and graduated as the Valedictorian out of 900 students.

I've produced, directed, photographed and edited hundreds of  film and video projects since 1998 including: commercials, music videos, corporate videos, short films and feature films.

As a DIRECTOR I've worked with a wide range of personalities and ages including children. I'm able to empathize with actors to communicate clearly and help bring out the best performance.

As a WRITER I've written dozens of screenplays including shorts, features and corporate videos. I've also taught a screenwriting workshop. You can read a creative corporate video script example HERE.

As a CINEMATOGRAPHER, or Director of Photography, I've shot both film and video. I also know the tricks to making video look more like film including: frame rate, depth of field, color correction, lighting, framing and movement.

As an EDITOR I've worked with most of the editing systems out there. I'm well versed with Adobe After Effects, including adding motion, effects, advanced color correction techniques and compositing green and blue screens. I also enjoy the sound design and sound mixing process.

As a PRODUCER I bring the discipline and organization learned from the military as a nuclear power plant operator. There are few processes in the world with the level of quality assurance that the nuclear power industry requires. And rightly so.

I offer competitive rates and can meet most budgets.
